All 80s on DAB

DAB is the new FM. If you buy a new radio to receive it will give you brand new stations you can’t get on FM. DAB Radios even have an “old style fm” button so you don’t miss your current favourite stations either.

pure_chronos_dab.jpgThere are loads of DAB radios available in Ireland at Currys, Dixons, Harvey Norman, Power City and other main retailers and are similarly priced to FM only radios. Our favourites are the Pure brand of DAB radios pictured opposite.

During 2007 and 2008 All 80s was an integral part of a DAB trial in the Dublin area. The trial itself was a resounding succcess both technically and with listeners alike.

The trial concluded in November 2008 after which RTE launched six brand new services in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. Unfortunately for commercial stations like ourselves we had to come off air at the end of the trial until DAB licences are issued by the BAI. You can find the latest on digital radio developments here.

We are hoping to be back on DAB with a new trial service during 2010.
